He is a member of the Scientific Board of Globelics and was Visiting Fellow at universities in France, UK, and USA and Secretary for Planning of the Brazilian Ministry of S&T.

is Senior Researcher, Research Network on Local Productive and Innovative Systems (RedeSist), Institute of Economics, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was previously Science and Technology Policy Researcher at the Ministry of Science and Technology and at National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Brazil.
